Dr. Carlos Castro is a Board Certified Prosthodontist and Oral Implantologist. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, he completed double dental training at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and New York University College of Dentistry where he also obtained a certificate in Advanced Education in Prosthodontics and was the recipient of the Dr. Harold Litvak Fellowship Award and The Adisman Boot Award. He completed his training with a two year surgical fellowship, mentored by Dr Dennis Tarnow at Columbia University. Dr Castro is a guest lecturer at the College of Dentistry at New York University and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Postgraduate Prosthodontics program of Columbia University. He maintains private practice limited to esthetic, Implant and reconstructive dentistry in Atlanta and New York, is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and holds professional affiliation with the American Dental Association and the International College of Oral Implantologists. His academic and research interests include biomaterials, novel implant prosthesis design and biological responses.
